The Research Group

This website is a focal point for learning about the independent and collaborative research efforts of a number of Swinburne University researchers who share a cross-disciplinary interest in online multiplayer computer games. The progress of different research areas, as well as some of the publishings and papers of the games research collaboration, have been made available for online viewing. Our aims include:

 
Share information about games research generally, and games research work at Swinburne University of Technology specifically
Provide information about latest news and events in games research at Swinburne University of Technology
Serve as a portal for news, research, conferences and information about research internationally
Strengthen ties between research groups and scholars engaged in games research
 

Games Research @ Swinburne

At Swinburne University there are a number of groups from different disciplines working on games research:

Center for Advanced Internet Architectures
The centre works on the characterization of network game traffic, traffic models for games, evaluating player sensitivity to different network conditions and fairness mechanisms.
Swinburne University Multimedia
Swinburne Multimedia covers a broad range of areas relating to games, such as 3d animation and design.
Centre for Neuropsychology
A research unit is dedicated within this center to research Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology and Psychiatry. This research extends to games.
